Coasteering at Seven Quarries

The Explorer Section, known as the Britannia Explorer Unit, is for young people aged between 14 and 18.

As an Explorer Scout you will be able to decide, with the rest of the Britannia Explorer Unit, what you would like to do as part of the programme in addition to the usual Scouting activities.

You will be able to gain badges such as the Chief Scout’s Diamond and Platinum Awards. The highest award you can earn is the Queen’s Scout Award. This is recognised by many employers as the sign of someone that is enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable. You will also be able to undertake Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. Find out more here.

We also run the Young Leaders scheme, which gives you the skills to volunteer to help run the younger sections in the Group, and the skills, like many other Scouting skills, are transferrable to your school and work life too.

Find out more about the activities we do here.
