Introduction to our Scouts section

The following two documents provide an introduction to our Sea Scout section and explain the differences in droppong-off and picking-up Scouts for normal meetings at HQ - which for most people will be different to how the younger sections operate.

Introduction to 6th Torbay Sea Scouts Section

This document will provide you with lots of relevent information on our Sea Scout section: meeting times, uniforms, badges, who is who, wwhat we do during the year, RN recognition, the Scouts Code of Conduct, basic kit needed for camps, our links to the RYA . . .

Parents Leaving Permission Form

Unlike for the Beavers and Cubs many Scout’s parents tend to wait for the Scouts outside the building, although you are welcome to come in and wait on the stairs / hall for them to be dismissed. The form outlines the choices for picking up children from the group, since if the Scout leaves the building to be picked up by the main road for instance, the group cannot accept responsibility for the safety of that child. If safety is a concern then we are happy for Scouts to remain in the building until they are collected. The form allows us to see which Scouts we can ‘let go’ and which we can’t. Choices can be changed at any time.
